Preparation
Hard boil the eggs (12 minutes) in boiling water.
Once cooked, cool under running cold water, shell and slice.
Wash the lettuce and tear into small pieces.
Peel and chop very fine, or grate the onion.
Juice the lemon.
Assembly
Mix the lettuce and onion, and decorate with slices of egg.
To serve
Serve with a salad dressing of Fair Trade Olive Oil
and FAIRTRADE lemon juice
all jazzed up with a good pinch of salt
and a generous helping of FAIRTRADE ground black pepper.
(I would use twice the volume of oil as there is lemon juice).
Meze: Serve with FAIRTRADE Chardonnay.
Variations
Cheat and buy a bag of mixed lettuce leaves if you can't get the Romaine lettuce.
