Ingredients

beef steak
15 ml
oil for frying

large onion diced

large tomatoes diced (200ml can of tomatoes work just as well)
30 ml
tomato puree
100 ml
of Worcestershire sauce
2
cloves of garlic finely chopped
200 ml
FAIRTRADE chutney
100 g
FAIRTRADE brown sugar
30 ml
cider vinegar
5 ml
tabasco sauce
100 ml
water
salt

Method

In a heavy pan, heat the oil and then saute the onions and garlic until soft.

Add remaining ingredients except the meat, mix well and simmer for a few minutes.

Fry the steaks separately.

When done frying spoon the sauce over the steaks.

To serve

Serve with rice, or Peas Pilau.

Serve with FAIRTRADE red wine from South Africa as well.
